Dear Future Volunteer: The evidence is now beyond dispute. When schools work together with families to support learning, children tend to succeed not just in school, but also throughout life. Congratulations for choosing to be involved in local public education as a school volunteer. On behalf of the staff and administration, I extend a warm welcome to you. Because your schedules and interests may change from year to year, we ask that you submit a volunteer application on an annual basis. This application will cover your involvemnt in all Tenino Schools for the 2010-2011 school year. We will use the application information to match your current area of interest with the volunteer needs of the staff. Please complete both sides of the application (download it at the left of this page) in ink and be sure to sign it. Also, be sure to read and sign both the Sexual Harassment Policy and the Confidentiality Statement. We cannot process your application without ALL your signatures. Please attach a copy of your Driver's License. In order to ensure that our schools continue to be a safe learning environment, Washington State law requires the District to have all volunteers complete a background check and a criminal history disclosure statement. We will treat your Washington State Patrol report with confidentiality and will keep it on file at the District Office. After we receive the completed paperwork in the District Office, please allow 7-10 days for us to process your application. After processing, the building secretaries will receive notification that the application process is complete. We will let you know when you may begin volunteering.
